Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 May 2026

1. About WorkSync

WorkSync is a workforce management platform providing time tracking, timesheet management, and employee-employer communication tools. It is developed and operated by Websites by Dale Jefferies (www.jefferies.me.uk).

By accessing or using WorkSync, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use WorkSync. By registering, you confirm that you are eligible to enter into a legally binding agreement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Employer accounts may be created directly or provisioned by a WorkSync administrator. Each employer account represents a single business entity and must not be shared between organisations.

4. Use of the Platform

You agree to use WorkSync only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Submit false or misleading time records or timesheet data
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
  • Use the platform to harass, intimidate, or harm other users
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
  • Introduce malicious code, viruses, or disruptive content
  • Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or overload the platform
  • Use the platform in any way that violates applicable UK or international law

5. Employer Responsibilities

Employers are responsible for the accuracy of timesheet approvals and any payroll decisions made based on data from WorkSync. WorkSync provides a tool to facilitate timesheet management — it does not constitute payroll software and does not guarantee compliance with employment law.

Employers must obtain appropriate consent from employees before enabling location tracking features. Employers must handle any personal data accessed through WorkSync in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection legislation.

6. Employee Responsibilities

Employees are responsible for recording their time accurately and honestly. Submitting falsified time records may constitute gross misconduct under your employment contract and could result in your account being suspended or terminated on the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, content, and trademarks associated with WorkSync are the property of Websites by Dale Jefferies and are protected by intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform solely for its intended purpose. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works based on WorkSync without prior written permission.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of WorkSync is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in that policy.

9. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable, high-availability service, but we do not guarantee that WorkSync will be available at all times. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or changes to the platform at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any loss resulting from planned or unplanned downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Websites by Dale Jefferies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of WorkSync, including but not limited to loss of earnings, loss of data, or payroll errors resulting from inaccurate time records.

Our total liability to you in connection with WorkSync shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms of Service or if we reasonably believe your use of the platform poses a risk to other users or to the service.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the platform or by email. Continued use of WorkSync after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of WorkSync shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
